Saijo City Conducts Health Literacy Model Classes at Tanbara Higashi Junior High

Saijo City (Mayor: Yoshinori Ochi) is launching a series of model classes for 3rd-year students at Tanbara Higashi Junior High School, aimed at teaching students how to identify necessary health information, evaluate its validity, and make informed choices to keep themselves and their families healthy.

This initiative marks the first time in Japan that local government health departments, school education departments, and public health expert teams have collaborated to conduct a program during 'Integrated Studies' time to improve students' ability to engage with health information.

**3. Curriculum** - Day 1: Learning how to engage with health information - Day 2: Evaluating the quality of health information - Day 3: Researching and summarizing health information - Day 4: Final presentations and Q&A
