[Nogata City] Parent-Child Participation! Learn About Colors and Draw Summer Memories with "Art for My Summer"

The Nogata City Citizens' Council for Youth Development will hold "Art for My Summer" during the summer vacation, aiming to foster creativity and expressiveness while parents and children engage with art.

Mr. Yoshiaki Hanada, Director of the Nogata Tanio Art Museum, will serve as the instructor. Under Mr. Hanada's guidance, participants will learn about the characteristics and combinations of colors in a fun way, and parents and children will create a single artwork together. Through the creation process, the event aims to nurture children's rich sensibilities and expressiveness, and by working together, create unique summer memories.

Completed artworks can be taken home and enjoyed as one-of-a-kind "summer memories."

- Date and Time: August 4, 2026 (Tuesday)

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Reception starts at 9:45 AM)

- Venue: Nogata City Central Community Center, Main Conference Room

- Instructor: Yoshiaki Hanada (Director, Nogata Tanio Art Museum)

- Target Audience: Elementary and junior high school students residing in or attending school in Nogata City, and their guardians.

* Participation by children or adults only is not permitted.

* Up to 3 people per group.

- Number of Participants: 30 groups (lottery if applications exceed capacity)

- Participation Fee: 500 yen per child (materials fee)

- Application Period: July 1, 2026 (Wednesday) 9:00 AM to July 20, 2026 (Monday, holiday) 5:00 PM

Director of the Nogata Tanio Art Museum. He is dedicated to promoting regional culture and art, and through museum activities, he conveys the appeal of art to a wide range of generations, from children to adults. In this event, he will clearly explain the basics of color and the joy of expression, guiding children to create artworks with their own free ideas.
