[Nogata City] Children's Center Becomes Art Space! Hands-on Workshop by Tokyo University of the Arts Held

Based on the "Nogata City Infant Education and Childcare Guidelines" formulated in Reiwa 7, we will implement a collaborative project with Tokyo University of the Arts to promote education and childcare at each facility and improve the professionalism of childcare workers and kindergarten teachers.

Date and Time: July 29, Reiwa 8 (Wed), 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Location: Niiryu Himawari Children's Center (2051-1 Oaza Kami-niiryu, Nogata City)

Lecturers: Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Fine Arts

Associate Professor Masakazu Ito, Ms. Momoko Sasanai, and 2 others, totaling 4 people

Participants: Approximately 44 childcare workers, kindergarten teachers, etc. (about 2 from each city facility)

Content: Hands-on workshop using cyanotype (similar to sun prints)

To be conducted using semi-transparent raincoats

(Apply solvent -> Dry -> Place objects -> Rinse with water -> Dry)

《Project Overview》

Early childhood education in Nogata City is positioned as an important starting point leading to elementary, junior high, and high school education. This project aims to provide opportunities for childcare workers and kindergarten teachers involved in early childhood education at licensed childcare facilities, certified children's centers, and kindergartens in the city to experience advanced knowledge in art education and appreciation, thereby contributing to the improvement of awareness and skills in early childhood education. In collaboration with the Tokyo University of the Arts Arts Creation Organization, we will conduct early childhood education training related to culture and arts for childcare workers and kindergarten teachers.
