The Naruto Awa Odori Executive Committee has produced an "Official Poster," "Special Uchiwa Fan for Paid Performance Venue Admission," and "Tenugui Towel for Impromptu Dance Group Participants" to liven up this year's "Naruto City Awa Odori" and "BOATRACE Naruto PRESENTS Naruto Summer Festival."

For the poster, a "Generative AI Utilization Poster Contest" was held through public recruitment. From 251 entries, the work by Nagihoppe, a Naruto City resident using a pen name, was selected as the grand prize winner and adopted as the design for the official poster. The tenugui towel features the "Shishamo Neko" design by Kimiko Kawakubo for the third consecutive year.

Official Poster

The grand prize winner, selected from a total of 251 entries, is the work by Nagihoppe (Naruto City), who uses a pen name.

The composition, which clearly depicts Naruto's symbols – the Naruto Whirlpools, the Onaruto Bridge, and dancers – along with the powerful and beautiful design utilizing generative AI, were the deciding factors in the selection.

Tenugui Towel for Impromptu Dance Group Participants (Designed by Kimiko Kawakubo)

This year again, the design was created by Kimiko Kawakubo, a resident of Naruto City and the creator of "Shishamo Neko." This year's motif is the city's specialty, lotus root! "Shishamo Neko" is placed in the center, surrounded by "Renkon-ren dancers" wearing traditional hats and headbands, dancing joyfully. The design also depicts a stork carrying freshly harvested lotus roots.
