[About the Early Grand Piano manufactured by Nippon Gakki Seizo Co., Ltd.] This grand piano was donated to Hikawa Elementary School in 1931 as the "Empress Dowager's piano" from the Kujo family, the family of Kujo Sadako, who became Empress to Emperor Taisho. It was exhibited at the 5th National Industrial Exhibition held in 1903, and as one of the oldest domestically produced grand pianos, it was designated as a tangible cultural property by Minato City on October 13, 2022, and moved from San-san Akasaka, located on the former site of Hikawa Elementary School, to the Local History Museum in January 2023.
