Matsudo City Becomes First Municipality to Sign Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Kashiwa Reysol

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Matsudo City in Chiba Prefecture and Hitachi Kashiwa Reysol Co., Ltd. entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement to establish a stronger and more stable framework for collaboration and to promote cooperation across various fields, starting with sports.

This marks the first time Hitachi Kashiwa Reysol has signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with a local government.

Since 2003, Hitachi Kashiwa Reysol has collaborated with Matsudo City on various initiatives, including inviting citizens to home games, hosting 'Matsudo City Hometown Days,' participating in the Matsudo Festival, and providing complimentary tickets from the players' association.

The new agreement identifies seven key areas of cooperation: promotion of sports, achievement of sustainability goals, education and human resource development, health promotion, regional revitalization, and information dissemination and public relations. Based on these items, the two parties will work to solve local issues through sports, create community vitality, and improve the health of citizens.

President Yamasaki of Hitachi Kashiwa Reysol commented on the agreement, saying, 'Please view this as a declaration of our determination to formalize our partnership. We want to contribute in any way we can through sports.'

The Mayor of Matsudo, who is promoting projects to boost sports in the city in collaboration with professional teams this fiscal year, expressed his outlook: 'This is a major step forward in further developing the trust we have built and creating new value. In addition to sports promotion, I want to connect this to the development of our children, further revitalization of the region, and increasing health awareness among our citizens.'
