The Maizuru Akarenga Half Marathon Executive Committee (Secretariat: Maizuru City Sports Promotion Division) has begun recruiting essential 'event supporters (volunteers)' for the 'Maizuru Akarenga Half Marathon 2026,' to be held on Monday, October 12 (National Holiday), starting June 8 (Monday).

The warm support and encouragement provided by supporters are the greatest attraction of the event for runners coming from across Japan, and create lasting memories. We welcome applications from individuals who wish to help co-create an exciting, unified event experience.

Recruitment Details

Activity Date and Time: October 12 (National Holiday), approximately 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM (times are approximate; mid-entry and early departure are not permitted)

Main Activities:

- Runner services at the event venue (venue guidance, post-finish hydration, etc.) - Course-side crowd management and hydration support for runners

Application Requirements:

- High school students and above. (Middle school students and younger may participate with a guardian or chaperone) - Ability to stand for long periods and commit to the designated time and location - Availability to attend the pre-event staff briefing (proxy attendance allowed)

Provided Items:

- Staff apparel (cap and T-shirt) - Meal allowance (500 yen QUO card)
