The Maizuru World Brick Museum will hold a special hands-on event titled 'Get Familiar with Red Bricks!' in conjunction with Children's Day on May 5th (Tuesday, public holiday). On this day, the museum will be open to the public free of charge, providing an opportunity for children, who carry the future on their shoulders, to experience the history and culture of the region.

Purpose of the Event This is an experiential event designed to help people feel the charm of Maizuru's iconic 'Red Brick Buildings' not just through textbooks, but by actually 'seeing, making, and playing.' We aim to create a place where families can make memories and foster a love for their hometown.

Four Experience Menus [Learn/See] Free Museum Opening: Anyone can view the precious exhibits that gather the history of bricks from Japan and around the world for free. [Make] Building a Museum with Paper Craft: Assemble a sophisticated paper craft of the 'Red Brick Museum.' It's perfect for getting a head start on summer vacation crafts. (Target: Elementary school children and younger, or parents and children) [Play] Building Block Play with Giant Paper Bricks: Children can freely build their own structures using large paper blocks that look exactly like real bricks. [Receive] Original Can Badge Gift: Special badges will be given to the first 100 children (elementary school age and younger).
