Kitakyushu City has launched the call for entries for the 'Z-Generation Hamidase Contest 2026' on May 28, 2026, a project designed to elicit and support the realization of free ideas and proposals from young people. For selected proposals, the city will provide a subsidy of up to 3 million yen and support the realization of the project through expert advice and other means. The contest is open to the Z-generation nationwide (born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2011), and we are looking for innovative and original projects that will lead to the revitalization of Kitakyushu City. The application period runs until July 3, 2026. The previous contest attracted significant attention with 60 applications, and this time we aim to further support the passionate challenges of young people.
