Call for Applications: 23rd Kawasaki Monozukuri Brand Certified Products and Technologies

The Kawasaki Monozukuri Brand Promotion Council, organized by Kawasaki City, Kawasaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, etc., is calling for applications for the 23rd Kawasaki Monozukuri Brand Certified Products and Technologies from Monday, June 1, 2026 to Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

This project has been implemented since fiscal 2004 with the aim of promoting the superiority and high potential of excellent products and technologies created by small and medium-sized manufacturers in the city both domestically and internationally, supporting the expansion of sales channels, image improvement, and entry into new markets, as well as disseminating the image of a "strong industrial city, Kawasaki" at home and abroad.

About Kawasaki Monozukuri Brand

At the 22nd certification ceremony, three products were certified.

So far, 101 products and technologies have been certified, ranging from advanced industrial products and processing technologies to products that contribute to safety and security in daily life against the backdrop of growing awareness of aging, environment, and disaster prevention, and those expected to be utilized in an IoT society. This is evidence that Kawasaki's SMEs are quickly responding to social issues and creating new value, and is a testament to the high level of manufacturing capability.

We hope that the certified products and technologies, which are the pride of Kawasaki as an "industrial capital," will contribute to the world, and we will promote this project in collaboration with related organizations to improve brand value and expand recognition, thereby revitalizing local industry.

Eligible products

Industrial products and technologies already on the market that are manufactured or developed at business sites within Kawasaki City (in principle, one product per company)

Qualification requirements

Individuals who meet any of the following 1 to 3 and have been operating in the city for at least one year in principle, or individuals who reside in the target facilities listed in 4.

1. Small and medium-sized manufacturers or small and medium-sized information and communication companies with a head office in the city.
2. Small and medium-sized manufacturers or small and medium-sized information and communication companies whose head office is outside the city but have a business site in the city where a development or manufacturing department belongs, and are developing the target products/technologies or manufacturing the target products at that business site.
3. Cooperatives, voluntary groups, etc., whose main members are those falling under either of the above two.
4. Individuals who reside in the following target facilities:
- Kanagawa Science Park
- Kawasaki New Industry Creation Center
- Techno Hub Innovation Kawasaki
- Meiji University Regional Industry-Academia Collaboration Research Center
- Nano Medical Innovation Center
- Other incubation facilities specially recognized by the mayor

Certification benefits

- Issuance of certification plaque and certificate
- Granting of the right to use the Kawasaki Monozukuri Brand logo
- Listing in the brochure introducing certified products
- Display at the Kawasaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kawasaki City Industrial Promotion Hall
- Publication in public relations media of the Kawasaki Monozukuri Brand Promotion Council, government, support organizations, etc.
- PR support for mass media, companies, etc.
- Production of PR videos for certified products
- Walking support for expanding sales channels of certified products

(4) Financial documents (latest two fiscal years)
(5) Copy of certificate documents related to industrial property rights (including application forms)

Notes

- Examination fees are free. However, costs related to application, such as preparing the certification application form, shall be borne by the applicant. An annual registration fee of 20,000 yen is required from the fiscal year following certification.
- The certification period is from the certification date to the end of the fiscal year three years later. Thereafter, annual extensions are possible, subject to review.
- Submitted application documents will not be returned. Please note that we cannot answer inquiries regarding the certification examination.
- Products whose safety may not comply with various laws and regulations may not be eligible for examination.
- At the examination meeting in late August, applicants will be required to give a presentation on the proposed product/technology.
