Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, Signs Cooperation Agreement with Open Street Inc.

Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, signed a cooperation agreement with Open Street Inc. on March 30 regarding a demonstration experiment for shared bicycle services.

As Kawanishi City and Takarazuka City signed agreements with the company simultaneously, a joint signing ceremony was held at Takarazuka City Hall, officially launching initiatives for new possibilities in regional transportation.

Based on the agreement with Open Street Inc., Kawanishi City will effectively utilize mutual resources to verify the potential of shared bicycles as an environmentally friendly mode of transportation that citizens can easily use.

This demonstration experiment aims to confirm multifaceted effects and challenges, such as regional revitalization, tourism promotion, promotion of public transportation use, and its role as a supplement or alternative to existing transportation.

The contents of the agreement are as follows:

(1) To collaborate with tourism resources to contribute to regional revitalization

(2) To promote the use of public transportation

(3) To promote the demonstration experiment

(4) Other matters incidental to the preceding items
