Head to the underground sanctuary that supports Nobel Prize-winning physics research. Hida City, Gifu Prefecture (Mayor: Junya Tsuzuki), will hold "GSA (Geo-Space Adventure) 2026," Japan's only exploration event where you can "realistically" experience the cutting-edge scientific site 1,000 meters underground, which is usually off-limits. Marking its 30th anniversary, this edition is packed with exclusive programs that stimulate intellectual curiosity, including seminars on world-class experiments and talks by leading researchers and Naoki Prize-winning authors. We will deliver a special two-day experience that will captivate everyone from children to adults, showcasing the excitement of this hidden "City of Science" on an overwhelming scale. Highlights include exploring the actual tunnels of the Kamioka Mine and visiting the world-renowned neutrino research facility, "Super-Kamiokande." The event will take place on July 18 and 19, 2026. The participation fee is 4,400 yen, with advance ticket sales starting on May 30 and general sales on May 31.
