Registration for Reiwa 8 (2026) Certified Rental Real Estate Manager Course (with 5-Question Exam Exemption) Opens May 18

The Association for Certified Apartment Managers (Chairman: Hiroaki Nakamura, hereafter 'the Association') has announced that registration for all schedules of the 'Reiwa 8 (2026) Certified Rental Real Estate Manager Course' (hereafter 'the Course'), conducted by designated organizations ((Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) Japan Property Management Association, (General Incorporated Association) National Chintai Real Estate Management Business Association, (Public Interest Incorporated Association) All Japan Real Estate Association / TRA) according to set guidelines, will begin on Monday, May 18, Reiwa 8 (2026). This course serves as a learning opportunity for acquiring the 'Certified Rental Real Estate Manager' qualification, designed to enhance the specialized knowledge and practical skills necessary for rental housing management. By completing this course, participants will be exempted from 5 out of 50 questions on the Certified Rental Real Estate Manager examination (to be held on Sunday, November 15, Reiwa 8) for the year of completion and the following year. Looking at the pass rates for the Reiwa 7 (2025) examination, course completers had a pass rate of 36.6%, which was 12.3% higher than the 24.3% for non-completers. This is an increase of 'over 1,000' applicants compared to the same period last year, indicating that interest in this course is higher than usual. In fact, although there are more than two months until the course begins, six venues were already fully booked as of May 10. It is expected that more venues will reach capacity soon, so those considering enrollment are advised to apply early.
