Chidori Manju Sohonten Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director: Koji Harada) will renew the packaging of its flagship product "Chidori Manju" for the first time in 8 years, and "Tirolian (Long/Hat)" for the first time in 20 years, starting from April 1, 2026. Approximately 400 years since its founding, we have re-examined "in what scenes and for whom our customers choose our sweets" and evolved into an appearance befitting each sentiment.
### Chidori Manju, worthy of the wishes it holds
The concept is "a lucky charm always close and comforting to the heart." We have redefined its value as a lucky charm that accompanies everyone's daily lives, such as on days wishing for the healthy growth of family members or celebrations of life's milestones. The packaging uses genuine "washi" (Japanese paper), expressing the warmth of handmade manju with a soft texture that is conveyed the moment it is held. A gracefully shining "warm golden chidori" is placed in the center, updating it to a dignified appearance suitable for gently embracing customers' "prayers" and "wishes."
### Tirolian, worthy of the sentiments it conveys
That crispy cookie and smooth cream that has been familiar since childhood. The packaging for "Long" and "Hat," which are popular as gifts, has been completely renewed. While retaining the impressive "three lines" that have been loved for a long time, calm pastel colors have been adopted. The box and wrapping paper feature a classical design based on white with gold. The elegant finish makes it suitable for gifting.
