"Chiba Corgi Bus" begins operation in Funabashi area!

The Chiba Kogyo Bank, Ltd. (President Hitoshi Umeda) announces the start of operations of the "Chiba Corgi Bus" in the Funabashi area. This bus, operated by Keisei Bus Chiba West Co., Ltd. (President Takahiro Fujimoto), features designs of the bank's image character "Chiba Corgi" and the official mascot "Jumbo-kun" of the professional basketball team Chiba Jets Funabashi.

The "Chiba Corgi Bus" currently operates on three routes (see item 3) with the aim of increasing recognition for the bank, Chiba Corgi, and Chiba Kogyo Bank Card Loans. This time, a new "Chiba Corgi Bus" with exterior wrapping featuring "Jumbo-kun" will operate within Funabashi City and Kamagaya City. Please note that this collaboration with Chiba Jets Funabashi is exclusive to this area. The operation of the three existing "Chiba Corgi Buses" was originally scheduled to end in late March 2026, but due to popular demand, the operating period has been extended until late September 2026.

The Bank will continue to implement initiatives that help local residents feel a sense of familiarity with us.

4. About the Bank's Image Character "Chiba Corgi"

"Chiba Corgi" is a character created through an internal vote, following a wide recruitment of designs and names from the bank's employees, staff, and their families in anticipation of the bank's 70th anniversary in March 2022.

Its name is derived from the bank's nickname "Chiba Kogyin" (興銀) and the dog breed "Corgi".
