CELSYS Releases Monthly Business Progress Report for April 2026

In April, the effects of the major version update (Ver.5.0) of "CLIP STUDIO PAINT," which was released in March and well-received by creators worldwide, continued. As a result, both ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) and the overall 3-month moving average total sales reached record highs. The churn rate also remained stable, and the business is progressing smoothly.

(1) 3-month Moving Average ARR for CLIP STUDIO PAINT Subscription Sales

(Note) ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue, which is the assumed sales amount for one year, assuming all contracts are renewed at the time of renewal) fluctuates monthly due to payment methods, with the number of days in a month varying every three months (28 business days in a normal month, 35 business days in a special month), and quarterly financial adjustments made at the end of each quarter. Therefore, a 3-month moving average is adopted.

(2) CLIP STUDIO PAINT Churn Rate (Paid Contracts)

(Note) This is the cancellation rate (customer churn rate) based on the number of customers with paid CLIP STUDIO PAINT subscription contracts. It is calculated from the number of cancellations in the current month against the number of contracts at the end of the previous month. If one customer has multiple contracts, each contract is calculated separately. Also, due to the nature of the product, which offers both annual contracts and monthly contract plans available only when needed, the same customer may repeatedly contract and cancel, and all such instances are included in the calculation.

Subscriptions refer to sales of the CLIP STUDIO PAINT subscription model. Tool sales include sales of perpetual license models and corporate licenses. Platform services include sales from CLIP STUDIO WEB services. Distribution solutions include sales related to e-books.
