Coca-Cola "Learn from the Forest" Project: Our Journey So Far

As a company that conducts business using irreplaceable "water," we are committed to water circulation in the watersheds surrounding our factories. Since 2006, we have initiated water resource conservation in collaboration with local communities. Currently, we have concluded agreements for water resource conservation with 61 organizations, including 27 local governments, across 15 watersheds around all 17 of our factories, promoting water source replenishment activities in forests identified as water source areas for our factories.

This special website looks back at the 20-year journey of the Coca-Cola "Learn from the Forest" Project, which has been carried out in various parts of our sales area in step with our water resource conservation activities since 2006, in a chronological format. It also features videos introducing the expansion of activities supported by collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including forest owners, local governments, forest cooperatives, companies, and NPOs. Furthermore, to mark the 20th anniversary, congratulatory messages from regional partners who have been involved in the Coca-Cola "Learn from the Forest" Project are also posted.

Through experiential programs such as thinning and tree planting, nature observation, and woodworking, the Coca-Cola "Learn from the Forest" Project has provided opportunities to learn about the water source replenishment function of forests and their role in biodiversity conservation. We believe that participants' experiential understanding of the connection between nature and people leads to the continuation of community-rooted water resource conservation. The 20th-anniversary special website aims to connect the experience of collaboration with local communities cultivated so far to the next generation and to make more people aware of our efforts in water resource and biodiversity conservation. Moving forward, the Company will continue to engage in water resource conservation with local communities, based on the desire to "Nurture the future from forests and water."
