Canon IT Solutions Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Suyama; hereinafter "Canon ITS"), a member of the Canon Marketing Japan Group, will begin offering a single sign-on (SSO) integration feature with the cloud-based integrated ID management service (IDaaS) "ID Entrance" on April 2, 2026 (Thursday). This integration is for "Telework Supporter," a cloud-based telework support service that assists with attendance management and visualization of work status in telework environments, with the aim of ensuring security and reducing operational burden when attendance managers access the Web management console from outside the company.

Background

With the establishment of telework, IT administrators themselves are increasingly performing management tasks outside the office, leading to a rise in opportunities to access management screens of various cloud services from outside the company.

The management screen of telework support services, which accurately grasp and manage employees' work status and actual work conditions, involves important operations related to the operation of the telework environment, such as user management and setting changes. Therefore, it requires stricter authentication and access management compared to general business applications. To meet these requirements, Canon ITS has started SSO integration with IDaaS "ID Entrance," which supports the international standard OpenID Connect and can centralize ID management and authentication, for the Web management console of its cloud-based telework support service "Telework Supporter."

Features of "Telework Supporter" and "ID Entrance" SSO Integration

When attendance managers log in to the Web management console, security measures of "ID Entrance" such as multi-factor authentication and client certificate authentication can be applied.

This prevents unauthorized access to management functions in a telework environment and achieves efficient management operations through centralized ID and authentication management via SSO integration.
