Calbee's 'Jaga Record' Releases 3rd Song 'Hansel and Gretel' Using 'Pizza Potato' Eating Sounds - Artist is 'Pilaf Alien', Music by 'Shin Sakiura'

Calbee Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Makoto Ehara), in collaboration with Hakuhodo K-3 Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshinori Shigematsu) and blowout Inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuki Ichinomiya), launched the music label 'Jaga Record' in April 2025. This label delivers music created from Calbee's unique and distinctive 'tabeoto' (eating sounds). We are pleased to announce the release of the third track from this label, 'Hansel and Gretel,' produced by 'Pilaf Alien' in collaboration with music producer 'Shin Sakiura,' which utilizes the sounds of eating 'Pizza Potato.' 【Background】

'Calbee Future Labo,' since 2023, has been involved in various design and iconic character IP (Intellectual Property) initiatives, including merchandise,雑貨 (general goods), game items, and NFTs. As a result, Calbee's licensed products increased by approximately 80% in one year*1, expanding opportunities for customers to enjoy Calbee products beyond just consumption. To further evolve this initiative, in April 2025, we established 'Jaga Record'*2, a music label that treats Calbee product 'tabeoto' (sounds produced while eating) as IP and creates music using these sounds.

Since the label's establishment, the first song, 'DAHA'*3, produced by the creator unit 'niKu' led by Chinozo, surpassed 600,000 views on YouTube Music Videos in just over a month after its release. The second song, 'Rururu!'*4, a collaboration between 'Rururu' and Vocaloid P (Vocaloid Producer) 'Amala,' also recorded 500,000 music video views within a month of its release.

The third song, 'Hansel and Gretel,' is a rhythmic and pop track created by 'Pilaf Alien' and 'Shin Sakiura,' using the 'tabeoto' of 'Pizza Potato' as sound material. 'Pilaf Alien' is the youngest male hip-hop artist to have held a solo concert at the Nippon Budokan. 'Shin Sakiura' was involved in the songwriting, composition, and arrangement of 'Kakumei Dochu' by AiNA THE END, which received the Excellent Work Award at the 67th Japan Record Awards. This song, a fusion of their addictive sound design and the rich 'crunchy' sound of 'Pizza Potato,' pioneers new possibilities in food and music.

Pilaf Alien gained recognition and established his unique character in the MC battle scene with his humorous and pop lyrics, distinctive pauses, and rhythmic flow. As a leading figure of the new generation active in the scene, he has garnered overwhelming popularity among children, partly due to his visual style of wearing a cap and sunglasses. Although Pilaf Alien once called himself a 'ネタラッパー' (ネタ rapper, meaning a rapper whose lyrics are based on jokes or gags), he retired from battle MCing in 2024 to focus on his career as an artist. He immediately released his highly anticipated 1st album 'Dream Taxi' in January 2025 and held his first solo live performance in March, showing strong momentum. He has already released hit songs like 'knock knock' and 'Pirapi' since last year, and his dream is to collaborate with VTuber Peanut-kun.
