CAINZ Corporation (Headquarters: Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture, President & CEO: Masayuki Kake) announced that it has concluded a "Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement" (hereinafter referred to as "this agreement") with Tsurugashima City, Saitama Prefecture, on Thursday, March 26, 2026. This agreement aims to realize a community where citizens can live with peace of mind and to revitalize the region by enabling Tsurugashima City and CAINZ to mutually cooperate and collaborate in fields such as disaster prevention, environmental measures, childcare support, health promotion, and industrial development.

CAINZ, with its brand concept of "DIY for Living," aims to make each person's "living" enjoyable through ingenuity, delivering valuable products and services at affordable prices every day. This aspiration also leads to the realization of the "Kumimachi Concept," formulated in October 2021, which aims for regional coexistence, and CAINZ is addressing various challenges and needs faced by communities and living in Japan.
In Tsurugashima City, CAINZ has repeatedly collaborated in diverse fields, including agreements for disaster relief supplies, traffic safety and crime prevention awareness, and welfare cooperation. In particular, CAINZ Tsurugashima store, as one of the largest flagship stores in the region, functions as a hub connecting the government, citizens, and local businesses.
Through this agreement, CAINZ wishes to further deepen co-creation towards the realization of the "Kumimachi Concept" of "DIY for everyone's town life" together with Tsurugashima City, and contribute to regional revitalization and development by advancing initiatives in a wide range of areas.

Cooperation and collaboration will be carried out on the following 7 items: (1) Matters related to disaster prevention. (2) Matters related to environmental measures. (3) Matters related to child-rearing and childcare support. (4) Matters related to health promotion. (5) Matters related to industrial promotion. (6) Matters related to city promotion. (7) Other matters related to the improvement of citizen services and regional revitalization.

Strengthening Supply of Daily Necessities during Disasters and Disaster Prevention Collaboration during Peacetime
Based on the "Agreement on Cooperation for the Supply of Daily Necessities during Disasters" concluded in 2012, in the event of a disaster, CAINZ will supply daily necessities and work supplies from its logistics warehouses and stores upon request from Tsurugashima City. Concurrently, CAINZ is working to enhance the region's disaster preparedness through cooperation in peacetime disaster prevention measures.
Support for Heatstroke Prevention and Health Promotion Utilizing Stores
In recent years, extreme heat has become a serious risk comparable to disasters, and the importance of heatstroke prevention measures is increasing. The Tsurugashima store plans to make its in-store food court available as a "cooling shelter" for citizens to spend time safely during business hours. Additionally, utilizing store space, CAINZ plans to hold health-related events and workshops to support citizens' health promotion efforts.
