Bywill Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yuichiro Shimomura; hereinafter "Bywill"), which aims for "a world where people want to engage in GX" and promotes an economic cycle utilizing environmental value, has concluded a partnership agreement with Nakama City, Fukuoka Prefecture (Mayor: Kenji Fukuda; hereinafter "Nakama City") regarding environmental value.
Based on this agreement, both parties will work on the creation and distribution of environmental value, including J-Credits (*1), and the creation of new business models.

*1: J-Credits are greenhouse gas emission reductions and absorption amounts (such as CO2) obtained through decarbonization activities by businesses, such as the introduction of energy-saving equipment and the utilization of renewable energy, certified by the government as "credits." Issued credits can be sold to other companies, etc., and purchasers can use them for carbon offsetting.

[Contents of the Agreement] Both parties will cooperate on the following matters with the aim of contributing to the realization of regional carbon neutrality and a circular economy:
(1) Provision of information, services, and know-how related to environmental value (2) Creation of new business models utilizing environmental value (3) Other matters deemed by the parties to contribute to the purpose of this agreement
[Background of the Agreement] Nakama City announced the "Nakama City Zero Carbon City Declaration" on January 25, 2022, aiming for net-zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050. To achieve this, the city is working on promoting the introduction of renewable energy and energy conservation.
This partnership agreement was reached to promote the creation and utilization of J-Credits, which is a new initiative for Nakama City.
