Tourism Branding 'Flower Port': Launch of 'Flower Jack Journey,' a City-Wide Promotion Filling the Port City of Yokohama with Flowers

The Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau will launch the 'Flower Jack Journey,' a new city-wide promotion to decorate the city of Yokohama with flowers, as an initiative of the tourism branding 'Flower Port.'

This project aims to continuously roll out flower experience projects in various parts of Yokohama throughout the year, decorating the entire port city of Yokohama with flowers, and also connecting to building momentum for the 'GREEN x EXPO 2027' (2027 International Horticultural Expo). For this first installment, a 'Flower Cruise' touring the Minatomirai bay area on a cruise ship decorated with flowers will be held in collaboration with Keihin Ferry Boat Co., Ltd.

In addition, as part of the 'Flower Port' initiative, a mobile flower tourist information center 'YOKOHAMA FLOWER BASE' will be exhibited at the 'Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival 2026' to be held at Pacifico Yokohama in May.

Yokohama's new tourism branding 'Flower Port,' launched last year, rolled out various projects including the Flower Cruise and was very well received by many people. In response to this, in fiscal 2026, to deliver flower experiences to more people in more diverse forms, we are launching the 'Flower Jack Journey,' a new city-wide promotion to decorate the city of Yokohama with flowers.

By continuously rolling out multiple flower experience projects including the Flower Cruise, flowers will bloom in every scene of Yokohama, allowing all visitors to experience 'Yokohama, a rich port city overflowing with flowers and happiness.'

As the first installment this time, we will conduct a Flower Cruise using the cruise ship 'Kanamoe' (Operated by: Keihin Ferry Boat Co., Ltd.) decorated with flowers.

▮ Highlights of Each Session

◆ 1st: Flower Cruise Decoration Event (April 26)

This is a participatory event where visitors co-create the flower decorations used for the 'Flower Cruise' operated in the 1st installment of the Flower Jack Journey.

On the day, with the support of florist caco, children and beginners can easily participate. Furthermore, a boarding experience on the cruise ship 'Kanamoe' before decoration is also available. As an experience to color the departure of the 1st installment, you can feel the worldview of 'Flower Port' up close.
