Biziconnect Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") conducted a survey on the satisfaction of temporary staffing agency representatives, targeting individuals currently using or who have used temporary staffing agencies within the last two years, through its temporary staffing job matching service "Haken Connect."
Details of the questionnaire can be found here: https://2b-connect.jp/haken/pressrelease-haken-manzokudo/
When working as a temporary employee, whether one can find a suitable job and work with peace of mind after employment largely depends on the quality of the temporary staffing agency's representative.
However, until now, it has been difficult to ascertain what kind of support job seekers actually using temporary staffing agencies are satisfied or dissatisfied with, and what specific harm that dissatisfaction causes to their job search.
Therefore, "Haken Connect" conducted a unique questionnaire survey targeting 200 individuals who are currently using or have used a temporary staffing agency within the last two years. We will delve into the real evaluations of temporary staffing agency representatives and the measures job seekers take to find good representatives.
Survey Summary
● Approximately 60% of people are satisfied with temporary staffing agency representatives.
● The top reason for satisfaction is "speed of response," followed by "career plan consultation" and "negotiation on conditions."
● The top reason for dissatisfaction is "slowness of response," with discrepancies from desired conditions also being a major factor.
● The most common disadvantage due to dissatisfaction with representatives is "missing opportunities to apply for jobs from other companies or other desired positions."
● Approximately 30% of those who felt dissatisfied switched to or registered with other companies.
● Measures to find good representatives include "checking the speed of initial contact and accuracy of answers" and "registering with multiple companies for comparison."

Survey Results
Approximately 60% of people are satisfied with temporary staffing agency representatives.
When asked about overall satisfaction with representatives, 59% responded "satisfied (very/somewhat)." While more than half show high appreciation for current support, approximately 15% are dissatisfied, indicating a disparity in the quality of support among representatives.
As temporary work styles diversify and job seekers' needs become more segmented, the role of representatives connecting companies and job seekers is becoming increasingly important.
However, the reality is that there is variation in their responsiveness and the quality of support. Even in an era of advancing systemization, the ultimate job satisfaction is influenced by "human" interaction, and the existence of a dissatisfied segment should be viewed as a structural issue for the entire industry.
The top reason for satisfaction is "speed of response," followed by "career plan consultation" and "negotiation on conditions."
When asked the reasons for satisfaction among those who responded that they were satisfied with their representatives (n=118), "speed of response (48.3%)" was the most common, followed by "career plan consultation" and "negotiation on conditions" tied at (36.4%).
Job seekers highly value prompt responses because they search for and work in jobs with anxiety. Furthermore, in-depth support, such as career plan consultation for the future and negotiation on conditions that are difficult to discuss oneself, are important factors that boost satisfaction, beyond just matching conditions.
The top reason for dissatisfaction is "slowness of response," with discrepancies from desired conditions also being a major factor.
When asked the reasons for dissatisfaction among those who responded that they were dissatisfied with their representatives (n=31), "slowness of response" was the most common at 41.9%.
This was followed by "being proposed jobs that did not match desired conditions" at 38.7%, and "being rushed for responses to applications or employment" and "requests regarding working conditions not being conveyed to the company" both at 25.8%. While "speed of response" was the top reason for satisfaction, "slowness of response" was also the top reason for dissatisfaction, clearly indicating that response speed is the most critical factor determining a representative's evaluation.
