■ Dai Miyata (Cello)
In 2009, he became the first Japanese to win the International Rostropovich Cello Competition. His overwhelming performances are highly supported by composers and collaborators, praised by world-renowned conductor Seiji Ozawa, and he is active internationally as a leading Japanese cellist. He graduated from the Geneva Conservatory of Music in Switzerland in 2009 and completed the Kronberg Academy in Germany in June 2013. He studied cello under Sumiko Kurata and Frans Helmerson, and chamber music under the Tokyo String Quartet, Sadao Harada, Koichiro Harada, Tomoko Kato, Nobuko Imai, Richard Young, and Gábor Takács-Nagy. His instrument is the Antonio Stradivari 1698 'Cholmondeley' loaned by Ueno Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
■ Koichi Yokomizo (Viola / Violin)
In addition to his role as Assistant Principal Violinist of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, he also performs as a guest violist with orchestras nationwide. In the field of chamber music, he founded the Verus String Quartet in 2006. The quartet won 3rd prize in the string quartet division of the 57th ARD International Music Competition in Munich, and he continues his energetic performance activities.
He serves as the Festival Director of the Chamber Music Festival AGIO.
