The world premiere stage adaptation of Fujiko F. Fujio's science fiction masterpiece!
'Minotaur no Sara' is a short science fiction manga published in 1969 by Fujiko F. Fujio, the creator of 'Doraemon'. In December 2026, the New National Theatre Tokyo will present the world premiere stage version of this work, featuring a crossover of music, dance, video, literature, and manga.
The story depicts a world where the positions of 'eater' and 'eaten' are reversed. Its biting satire and shocking conclusion remain thought-provoking even half a century later. The adaptation is directed and choreographed by Takuro Suzuki, winner of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Newcomer Award at the 75th Art Encouragement Prizes.
Seishiro Kato has been cast in the lead role of the crew member, and Mirai Uchida will play the key character, Minoa. They will be joined by a diverse cast, including members of the dance company 'CHAiroiPLIN'.
Additionally, a performance in Toyama has been confirmed, where director Takuro Suzuki himself will perform as the crew member in a special edition.
