Bunka Fashion College Cultural Festival Fashion Show Exhibition unfolds on an overwhelming scale
The I-bu (Daytime Course) Cultural Festival Fashion Show, which attracts over 10,000 visitors annually.
Approximately 700 current students are the main creators, handling everything from concept development to design, sewing, production, direction, hair and makeup, and modeling. Through diverse industry-academia collaborations, they maximize the use of materials provided by companies and organizations to showcase numerous creations filled with creativity. This exhibition will feature not only the latest works from the 2025 academic year but also a partial display of archival works from the 2023-2024 academic years, celebrating the college's 100th anniversary. Alongside the works that graced the runway, visitors can also view the actual textiles and accessories used.

[Opening Day Special Event (Dress Code Initiative) Overview] Date & Time: Wednesday, July 8, 14:00 – 16:30
Location: Exhibition hall, Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum Dress Code: Runway Drama (This is not mandatory, so please feel free to participate!)
Why not make it a special day of appreciating the students' heartfelt show pieces while snapping photos of each other's outfits? Please come to the museum with your camera on the day. We sincerely look forward to encountering your dramatic stylings that showcase your unique personalities!
[Regarding Coverage and Snapshot Photography]
Various media outlets, including "Soen Online" and "Bunka Fashion College Official School SNS," are scheduled to conduct coverage and distribution on the day. Individuals with stylish outfits may be approached by media representatives for snapshot photography or interviews.
[What is Runway Drama?] If you were the protagonist of a movie walking down the runway of life, what would you wear today? Dramatic voluminous sleeves, a vintage look like a scene from a film, or an overwhelming, leading-role-worthy outfit of your own creation... Please adorn the museum space with a styling that you feel most "dramatic" in!
"Un:" [2025 Academic Year]
The title "Un:" carries the meaning of "untitled." It expresses the energy born from layering the students' unique, sharp sensibilities and infinite potential onto the passion that Bunka Fashion College has built. The concept is not to assign a specific definition but to allow each viewer to discover the "true title" of this show through whatever resonates with them. The entire collection of 72 works is composed of 6 scenes.
"One" [2024 Academic Year]
The show theme, "One," embodies Bunka Fashion College's determination to powerfully break through the times and forge history, like a single needle, as it enters its 101st year. With Origin, Needle, and Energy as its core elements, it aims for new horizons in creation. Composed of 6 scenes and 89 works, the show is structured to allow for the simultaneous experience of fashion's diversity and unity.
"eR" [2023 Academic Year]
The fashion show "eR" (pronounced "Eru"), which celebrated the 100th anniversary of Bunka Fashion College, is a declaration of the will to evolve, incorporating three meanings: "er u" (to gain – discovery, values), "each" (individually), and "reborn." A total of 65 participating designers presented 64 looks, with students who resonated with the concept of each scene condensing their current understanding of fashion into their works.
