Buffalo Starts Shipping WSR-3000AX4L Series, an Entry-Level Wi-Fi 6 Router Compliant with JC-STAR Security Certification ★1 for Safe and Easy High-Speed Connectivity

Buffalo Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President, CEO and Representative Director: Hiroyuki Maki; hereinafter 'Buffalo') has begun shipping the WSR-3000AX4L Series, an entry-level dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (11ax) router compliant with the Security Requirements Conformity Assessment and Labeling Scheme 'JC-STAR' ★1. The product will be released sequentially at major electronics retailers and online stores across Japan.

With the growing adoption of Wi-Fi 6-enabled smartphones and PCs, demand for high-speed connectivity to support large-capacity video streaming and online gaming is rising. This new entry-level model supports 'Wideband 5GHz (160MHz)', enabling efficient transmission of large data volumes. It achieves maximum speeds of up to 2,401 Mbps (theoretical) on the 5GHz band and up to 573 Mbps (theoretical) on the 2.4GHz band, allowing users to easily set up a comfortable Wi-Fi environment.

Support for Wideband 5GHz (160MHz)

The router supports the '160MHz channel', doubling the bandwidth compared to the conventional 80MHz channel in the 5GHz band. This enables more stable transmission of large data such as video streaming.

※ Device-side support for Wideband 5GHz (160MHz) is required for communication at this bandwidth.

Compliance with 'JC-STAR' ★1

This product complies with 'JC-STAR', a security certification scheme operated by the Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA) under the guidance of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). It implements security features such as automatic firmware updates and unique default login passwords, ensuring safe and reliable usage.

The product supports 'Wi-Fi EasyMesh™', a standard specification by Wi-Fi Alliance®. By combining it with other Wi-Fi EasyMesh™-compatible routers or range extenders, users can extend wireless coverage throughout their homes and build a seamless Wi-Fi environment.

Easy Setup via Smartphone App

By installing the 'AirStation App' on a smartphone, users can easily complete setup by following on-screen instructions. The app also allows users to check and modify settings, update firmware, and more. For users upgrading from another Buffalo Wi-Fi router, the 'Smart Migration' feature enables easy transfer of settings, including ISP information, via the app. This eliminates the need to reconfigure settings manually, allowing users to quickly replicate their previous Wi-Fi environment.
