Case Study: Students Build Wi-Fi for School Festival Visitors; Realizing Campus-Wide Wi-Fi Deployment at Ichinoseki National College of Technology

Ichinoseki Kosen, established in 1964, is a higher education institution offering a five-year integrated curriculum, dedicated for many years to educating excellent engineers. In the spring of 2025, students from the information and software department proposed building a Wi-Fi network from scratch for visitors to the "Kosen Festival" to be held in October, presenting their idea to a network specialist faculty member. Buffalo, consulted by the faculty member, provided full cooperation by lending equipment to volunteer students and conducting hands-on training sessions.

After approximately six months of activities, including preliminary surveys and preparations conducted during after-school hours and summer vacation, the project to deploy Wi-Fi during the school festival period was successfully completed.
