They board the WEST EXPRESS Ginga, a sleeper train proud of JR West Japan, for a train journey to enjoy autumn in Yamaguchi. Tomochika, still unable to contain her excitement, unleashes a barrage of delusional thoughts along the way! This is the first part of a two-week special, "Yamaguchi Enjoyment Trip on the WEST EXPRESS Ginga!!"

Deep Blue Reminiscent of a "Blue Train"

The WEST EXPRESS is a sleeper train proud of JR West Japan. Its deep blue carriages, reminiscent of the "Blue Trains" of yesteryear, are impressive, and it's so popular that it sells out immediately after reservations open. Although it's supposed to depart from Kyoto Station, the two are able to board from the Suita General Depot, Kyoto Branch! Rei is incredibly excited by the carriages that evoke the feel of the simple berths of former limited express sleeper trains. Furthermore, this time, Tomochika keeps pace with his enthusiasm. In a room that can sleep four people, they get excited imagining who would be assigned to which bunk. Rei bursts into laughter at the lineup of stars he chooses for the same room.

The two will board the Sanyo route, heading from Kyoto to Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi. Upon arriving at Kyoto Station after leaving the depot, they have a happy encounter. Then, as they enjoy interacting with the passengers boarding one after another, an unexpected person appears before them.
