[BS Nippon TV] Cast Comments and Trailer Released! 7th Installment of 'Traveler Medical Examiner Michiba Shusaku' Starring Takashi Naito Airs May 30

BS Nippon TV will broadcast the 7th installment of 'Reiwa Suspense Theater: Traveler Medical Examiner Michiba Shusaku' on Saturday, May 30, at 7:00 PM. This is the latest drama installment airing ahead of the first feature film adaptation, 'Traveler Medical Examiner Michiba Shusaku' (releasing nationwide on June 12, 2026). The series features Takashi Naito as Shusaku Michiba, a retired Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department medical examiner who gets entangled in cases while traveling with his late wife's notebook. Since its debut in December 2023, the series has gained popularity for its human drama and the travelogue-like experience of visiting scenic spots across Japan. In this episode, Michiba visits Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture. After meeting a couple who act as 'Yumori' (hot spring guardians), he is drawn into a murder mystery. Despite trying to stay out of the investigation, the legendary examiner edges closer to the truth. Comments were provided by Ayumi Arimori (playing Yumori Tamami Onoda), Akio Kaneda (playing Yumori Yosuke Onoda), and Kaho Mizutani (playing rookie forensic officer Hana Kizaki). The program will air from 7:00 PM to 8:55 PM on May 30, 2026. The feature film will be released in theaters nationwide on June 12, 2026.
