The Maternal and Child Health Handbook app 'Boshi Mo', operated by Boshi Mo Co., Ltd., has been introduced in Tojo Town, Katori District, Chiba Prefecture, and began offering services as the 'Koju Hapi' Maternal and Child Health Handbook app on Wednesday, April 1st.

Tojo Town's basic philosophy is "A town of smiles for child-rearing, nurtured by the community and supported by the community." To this end, the town is strengthening regional cooperation to enhance childcare support, protecting children's rights, and promoting the creation of a town where all families can raise children with peace of mind.

This time, 'Boshi Mo', which allows digital recording of paper maternal and child health handbook data and has been adopted by over 830 local governments, was selected. Operations will commence in line with the Children and Families Agency's policy to promote the use of electronic maternal and child health handbooks and maternal and child health DX*1.

'Boshi Mo' is an app that easily supports vaccination schedules, health check-up result management, and regional information distribution via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Since data is stored in the cloud, it serves as a backup in case of loss of the maternal and child health handbook due to disasters, and also supports continuous use when moving to another municipality or changing device models, allowing users to continue using it with peace of mind.

◆ 'Boshi Mo' begins offering services in Tojo Town, Chiba Prefecture, which has a seamless support system tailored to life stages!

Tojo Town offers childcare consultations by midwives for pregnant women and mothers raising children. In addition to health consultations, breastfeeding care, and feeding consultations, the town also provides postpartum care services (home visits, daycare, accommodation) for babies and mothers, and weaning food consultations by nutritionists. Through these initiatives, the town is building a system where parents can raise children with peace of mind while connected to the community, and is working to create an environment where anxieties and worries about childcare are not borne alone.

Furthermore, the town provides a "Child-rearing Support Celebration Grant" to support child-rearing households who will bear the next generation and wish for their children's healthy growth. For each child, a birth celebration grant of 100,000 yen, an elementary school entrance celebration grant of 50,000 yen, and a junior high school entrance celebration grant of 50,000 yen are provided, promoting support for child-rearing families and the creation of a vibrant town.

This time, 'Boshi Mo' was adopted as a new tool for disseminating childcare information, to make the town's initiatives more convenient for child-rearing households.

◆ Comprehensive support for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare with a community-based childcare app!

The 'Koju Hapi' Maternal and Child Health Handbook app adopted by Tojo Town is a service compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It is equipped with convenient features that help busy mothers and fathers with childcare and work, such as recording and managing health data for pregnant women and children, managing vaccination schedules, providing advice on childbirth and childcare, sharing functions with family members such as grandparents living in distant areas, and notifying users of regional information distributed by the town.

The "Dekitayo Kinenbi" (I Did It Anniversary) feature, which can be used as a childcare diary, was created based on the Children and Families Agency's maternal and child health handbook format examples. It allows users to record developmental stages and childcare-related anniversaries, including the "parent's record" in the maternal and child health handbook, with photos and messages, and also serves as a guide for children's growth and development.

Furthermore, even when social environmental changes occur due to infectious diseases or other factors, important information such as alerts from local governments and advice from public health nurses can be instantly delivered to those who need it via text or video through the app, supporting the creation of an environment where childbirth and childcare can be done with peace of mind even in emergencies.
