Tai Rakku Tango (Tairaku Tanga), a specialty Taiwanese Castella store operated by BOC Japan LLC (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Tomohiko Komatsu), which is developing a franchise of Taiwanese food stores, will have a limited-time pop-up event from April 7 to April 13, 2026, at the Sottei Life 'Sweets Box' on the 2nd floor of Sotetsu Line Mitsukyo Station.

On March 12, 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Tai Rakku Tango (Tairaku Tanga) opened at Tokyu Plaza Ginza. On its opening day, a massive queue stretched all the way to Tokyo Metro Ginza Station, bringing much-needed cheerful news. Since the opening of the Tokyu Plaza Ginza store, we have received tremendous support from our customers, and the number of repeat customers continues to grow. We have been featured in numerous media outlets, including broadcasts on Nippon TV's 'ZIP,' 'Hirunandesu,' and '100 Million People's SHOW Channel,' Fuji TV's 'Mezamashi TV,' and BS Asahi's 'Teiban Times,' as well as articles in the Yomiuri Shimbun, Sankei Shimbun, women's magazines 'GINGER' and 'Hanako,' and travel guidebooks.

For this event, we will be selling our popular Taiwanese Castella in plain flavor, made with Taiwanese methods to replicate the authentic taste and texture, as well as our featured items like burnt butter vanilla sugar, and half-and-half sets with flavors such as cheese and Earl Grey, along with bite-sized cut castellas.

Taiwanese Castella is a traditional home-style sweet long enjoyed in Taiwan, called 'Xian Kao Dan Gao' (freshly baked cake). Cut into large pieces, its fluffy texture and mild sweetness are perfect not only for snacks but also for breakfast.
