About the Anime 'Jujutsu Kaisen'

'Jujutsu Kaisen,' a hit comic by Gege Akutami, depicts the battle between curses born from human negative emotions and sorcerers who exorcise them with jujutsu. It began serialization in Shueisha's 'Weekly Shonen Jump' in March 2018 and concluded its 6.5-year run in September 2024. The total worldwide circulation of the manga series (including digital versions) has surpassed an astonishing 150 million copies. Starting September 2025, a near-future spin-off of 'Jujutsu Kaisen,' titled 'Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo),' by original author Gege Akutami and illustrator Yuji Iwasaki, will be serialized in a short run in Shueisha's 'Weekly Shonen Jump.'
