Scenario Writer Ryoji Shirakihara Forms New Rock Band 'Long Shot Confession' as a New Challenge

Creative production BLAST ARTS has primarily focused on scenario production. Its representative, Ryoji Shirakihara, had long harbored an interest in music but struggled with whether to translate that into his own expression. However, feeling that there were expressive realms unreachable through writing music articles on 'note,' he decided to take the leap into music as a new challenge. It is a choice to face music again, which he had once let go of.

Formation of Long Shot Confession: Ryoji Shirakihara chose not to develop a music business under BLAST ARTS, but to launch a band as a player (Ryoji Shirakihara) himself. Having experienced band activities in his teens and staying in touch with music intermittently, the choice to 'do music' was not sudden. However, he had long struggled with the question of whether to do it as a job or by standing on stage. The energy of the live scene broke that hesitation. Even in the current era of digital distribution, the power of music in real spaces is stronger than ever. There was an expression that could only be realized by sharing a space with the audience. Influenced by 2000s emo and alternative rock, he aims to reconstruct that feeling in modern Japan and has launched the dream of the new band 'Long Shot Confession.'

Members: Ryoji Shirakihara (Vo/Gt) - Influenced by 2000s emo/pop-punk. Responsible for songwriting with an emphasis on melody and storytelling. Fu (Ba) - A bassist who supports the groove of the songs. Adds color to the music with dynamic bass lines. 846 (Dr) - A drummer who forms the core of the songs. Supports the band sound with everything from delicate grooves to powerful beats. The lead guitarist is currently being sought.
