Beyond the Box has launched a new project called "Next Story," where children can directly interview adults they wish to meet. This initiative offers learning and experiences that broaden children's future options, with monthly online participation open nationwide.

First Interviews The first round will begin on April 19th with two dialogues.

5th grader Kopi-san interviews Yui-san, a successful trimmer. Topics include the reality of working with animals and what it means to turn a passion into a job. Questions from a child's perspective draw out genuine responses from adults.

Furthermore, 2nd grader Yusae-kun interviews Ayami-sensei, a cram school teacher. Topics include what studying is, why we learn, the teacher's thoughts, and their approach to children.

A world unfolds when children, usually on the receiving end of learning, become the ones asking questions.

The Value of Next Story This project has two key values.

Firstly, children can meet real adults. By engaging with the words of people actually working in society, not just on social media or at school, their 'future' becomes concrete.

Secondly, the act of interviewing itself becomes valuable. Thinking of questions, listening, and receiving their words – this entire experience offers deeper learning than any classroom lesson.

Connecting Nationwide, Once a Month Next Story will be held as a regular monthly event. As participation is possible online from anywhere in Japan, encounters unbound by region or school will be created.
