BIRKENSTOCK Shibuya Concept Store Opens on July 1st

A new hub that embodies the philosophy and craftsmanship of BIRKENSTOCK based on its purpose has been born in Shibuya, a city where diverse cultures and sensibilities intersect. As the sixth concept store following the openings in Namba and Kyoto this year, it will further enhance the brand's presence as a footbed brand in Japan while communicating the worldview of BIRKENSTOCK.

The BIRKENSTOCK Shibuya Concept Store will open on July 1, 2026 (Wed). Shibuya, a city that has gathered diverse values and created new culture. This city, which has always accepted new trends and the flow of people, resonates with the philosophy of BIRKENSTOCK, which has made it its mission to deliver footbeds to everyone. The concept store that has just been born is the 13th directly managed store in Japan. For BIRKENSTOCK, which has already opened three directly managed stores in Ikebukuro, Namba, and Kyoto this year, this will be a new hub that further enhances the brand's presence in Japan.

Based on the philosophy of "natural walking" that BIRKENSTOCK pursues, the Shibuya Concept Store is composed with the theme of "Flow (flow)", overlapping the memory of the river that once flowed through Shibuya and the flow of the street where many people still pass by. The interior includes benches and display tables made of sliced logs, and wall surfaces made of virgin cork, incorporating the expressions that exist in nature throughout the store. Furthermore, shelves made of cork that undulate like the footbed of the product's core, Cork Latex, stainless mesh using the signature bone pattern, leather tools, etc., while making the most of the texture of the materials themselves, the shapes and patterns that symbolize the brand's identity are developed throughout the store. In the space where you can experience the "Care Essentials" foot and body care line, green tiles that evoke water are used, and a soft expression that accompanies the care time is added with a flowing shape.

In a space where you can feel the rich expressions of natural-derived materials and the flow and certain rhythm, you can take a breath in the urban hustle and bustle and experience the natural walking proposed by BIRKENSTOCK through the footbed. In the store, we introduce a variety of lineups, including sandals, which can be said to be essential items for summer, clogs, shoes, the latest collection, the premium line "1774", and shoe care items from the carefully crafted care line "Care Essentials" made with natural ingredients.
