BIRKENSTOCK's concept stores have created unique spaces by fusing the core elements of the brand—tradition, function, and quality—with the individuality of each city. Following Harajuku, Shinjuku, and Nagoya, the fourth concept store will open in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. The two-story street-level store, one of the largest in Japan, will present a full lineup that embodies the brand's aesthetics.

Opening on Friday, April 3, 2026, the Shinsaibashi concept store is BIRKENSTOCK's 12th permanent directly managed store in Japan, following the Ikebukuro store that opened in February this year, as the brand continues to expand its retail footprint. This highly anticipated store in Osaka, Japan's energetic second-largest city, boasts the largest sales floor space in the country across its two floors. It will feature a full lineup rooted in the brand's philosophy of "natural walking," ranging from the main line to the premium 1774 line, and the foot & body care line "Care Essentials" made from 100% naturally derived ingredients.

The interior features a minimalist design that highlights BIRKENSTOCK's craftsmanship and the appeal of its materials. Based on white, the store incorporates mud walls finished with traditional techniques, and brand-symbolic elements such as cork and the brand's signature bone pattern are arranged in a meticulously calculated layout. Adding organic accents to the gallery-like space are object-like stools and fixtures by wood artist Nariki Takahashi. These one-of-a-kind pieces carved from solid wood resonate with BIRKENSTOCK's purpose of supporting the natural steps of each individual. Despite being in the center of the city, the space combines tranquility and organic warmth, allowing customers to take their time and engage with the products.
