About the Limited-Time 'Ghibli Full Donguri Republic'

'Ghibli Full Donguri Republic' currently operates 40 stores in Japan, 5 in Hong Kong, 1 in Shanghai, and 6 in Taiwan. This pop-up marks the brand’s first physical presence in the United States, operating under the name 'Donguri Republic in LOS ANGELES'.

The store will offer over 400 types of merchandise featuring beloved Studio Ghibli films such as 'My Neighbor Totoro,' 'Princess Mononoke,' and 'Spirited Away,' all of which enjoy immense popularity overseas.

Faithful to the brand concept of 'a warm and comforting place where smiles never fade,' the store will recreate the magical atmosphere of Studio Ghibli’s cinematic worlds. The exterior will feature illustrations of cheerful little Totoros and Mei, evoking scenes from 'My Neighbor Totoro.' Inside, guests will be welcomed by a large Totoro waiting at a bus stop for the Catbus, all within a cozy, wood-filled environment designed to make shopping a delightful experience.

To commemorate the opening, customers who spend $100 or more will receive a complimentary tote bag. Additionally, in conjunction with 'STUDIO GHIBLI FEST 2026' screenings across U.S. theaters, the store will offer a special 'filmstrip-style bookmark' to customers who present a ticket (digital or paper) to any of the festival’s films and make a purchase of $10 or more.
