BE Health (Headquarters: Taipei), which specializes in supporting medical tech startups in Taiwan, has launched a strategic partnership with the digital health company H2U (Headquarters: New Taipei City).
As the global digital health market rapidly expands, the process for health tech startups to transition from technology development to real-world implementation has become a critical issue. Many medical tech startups, even after completing product development, face challenges in clinical adoption and market deployment. Problems such as a lack of service delivery venues and difficulty securing connections with corporations and medical institutions have become apparent.
Against this backdrop, a new industry promotion model combining policy capital and industrial platforms has been forming in Taiwan in recent years, advancing efforts to bridge medical innovation from the R&D stage to practical application.
Among these, the "corporate accelerator" model, which centers on a medical accelerator collaborating with the demonstration and implementation environments of companies and platforms, is gaining attention as a key mechanism for accelerating the social implementation of medical innovation.
BE Health Ventures (智康基金), the venture capital arm of BE Health, participated as the lead investor in H2U's latest round, achieving a total fundraising of over NT$100 million with co-investment from the National Development Fund.
Furthermore, leveraging the expertise of "BE Accelerator," which has supported over 200 domestic and international startups, they have jointly established the "H2U x BE Corporate Accelerator." This creates a new mechanism for fostering innovation in the health tech field through collaboration between corporations and startups.
BE Accelerator has consistently provided support to med-tech startups from product development and clinical validation to market entry. Through its "PoS (Proof of Strategic Partnership) Program," it also assists in building strategic collaborative relationships between large corporations and startups. It has accumulated experience and knowledge in cross-border industrial collaboration, including a corporate accelerator partnership with the Japanese listed company Nitto Denko Corporation.
Meanwhile, H2U operates a digital health management platform based on the integration of health data. It aims to extend people's healthy lifespans through innovative approaches, scales personalized health solutions using technology, and promotes the construction of a healthcare service ecosystem connecting individuals, corporations, and medical institutions.
Through the "corporate accelerator" model in this initiative, startups can receive industrial resources and investment support through BE Accelerator, while also quickly securing access to corporate clients and users by leveraging H2U's platform. This is expected to shorten the lead time to market entry.
Some collaboration examples have already emerged. For instance, the physical therapy service platform "生生優動" was integrated into H2U's "Pano" platform with support from BE Health and is being utilized as part of a corporate health service solution. This case demonstrates a concrete outcome of integrating a startup's service with a digital health platform.
The National Development Fund's participation as a co-investor in this funding also holds significant industrial meaning. As the promotion of digital health and medical innovation accelerates in Taiwan, the fund's involvement indicates long-term growth expectations for the digital health sector and clarifies the government's supportive stance towards new collaboration models like the "corporate accelerator." This is expected to further accelerate the transition of medical tech startups from the R&D stage to practical application.
Industry insiders have also suggested that with the expansion of the digital health market, corporate accelerator initiatives driven by an "accelerator x platform" model could become a key driving force for future health tech innovation.

This will allow us to introduce more innovative services into corporate health management and digital health platforms. By collaborating with policy and industrial resources, we will be able to provide more comprehensive and advanced healthcare solutions to corporations and users." — H2U CEO
