Background and Purpose of the Reorganization and Trade Name Change
The global market size for cross-border e-commerce continues to grow rapidly at a compound annual growth rate of 24.5% and is projected to reach $5.2 trillion by 2030 (*1). In addition, Japan's cross-border EC market, which used to be in a state of "online national isolation," has rapidly matured through the promotion of DX during the COVID-19 pandemic and the penetration of Japanese culture and products to overseas consumers due to increased inbound tourism. In 2024, the sales volume in the US and China alone reached a market size of 4.235 trillion yen (*2). EC platforms that make it easy to open cross-border EC stores have also become common, and cross-border support has now become a "standard" in the EC operations of Japanese companies. Furthermore, the rapid development and spread of generative AI are lowering the "language and information barriers" in cross-border EC, leading us into an era where anyone can easily access the global market online.

On the other hand, rapid global market growth has also accelerated the development of systems in various countries, making the "practical barriers" rather higher. International regulations and tax systems are undergoing drastic changes, such as the abolition of de minimis (small-value import tax exemption system) in the US and Europe, the increase of VAT (Value Added Tax) in various countries, and the subdivision of HS codes (Harmonized System codes) towards 2028. Additionally, as represented by the DSA (Digital Services Act) and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) in Europe, the responsibilities imposed on the platform side, such as online marketplaces, regarding sales and delivery, are being strengthened.

Moreover, while online platforms are becoming borderless, last-mile delivery and payment methods are becoming more localized along with improvements in convenience in each region. With rising international shipping costs due to surging fuel prices and increased logistics volumes, the difficulty of responding to all these factors is increasing.

The BEENOS Group has faced these challenges and solved them through the experience and operational strength of 7,000 cumulative cross-border EC support cases, AI utilization, development of highly convenient delivery services, introduction of payment methods, and creation of cost benefits through overwhelming logistics volumes. However, we have recognized that in order for Japanese companies to secure overseas markets reliably without losing a sense of speed under such a turbulent environment, the provision of high-level expertise and infrastructure, going beyond mere tool provision, is becoming even more critical. Therefore, we have reorganized the global commerce domain.
