Period: Saturday, July 18, 2026 - Sunday, August 23, 2026
Organizer: The Baseball Hall of Fame Museum Co-organizer: Nippon Professional Baseball Organization (NPB)
The Baseball Hall of Fame Museum will host its annual "Freedom Research with Baseball!" event to support elementary school students' summer research projects.
Learn by Seeing and Experiencing Baseball Equipment!
In the Event Hall, under the theme "Secrets of Baseball," the rules of baseball and the evolution of equipment will be introduced through panels and actual items. There will be a corner where visitors can experience the latest gloves and bats firsthand, as well as exhibits showing the evolution of equipment like bases, allowing children to engage with baseball while conducting their research.
Support for Research Worries!
A "Consultation Corner" will be set up in the library. Museum staff will provide support on how to research baseball-themed projects and introduce relevant materials.
Demonstrations and Special Events Also Held!
Furthermore, special events include a talk event titled "Secrets of a Professional Baseball Player" by Seiichi Uchikawa (former professional baseball player), as well as the regular "Summer Vacation Umpire School," "Glove Making Class," "Bat Making Class," and "How to Hit a Ball Farther?" These events aim to further stimulate children's research motivation.
