[First in Shizuoka Prefecture!] Shizuoka City Promotes DX in Childcare Facilities by Introducing the "Daredemo Kessai" Cashless Payment System

■ Cashless payments to begin at Shizuoka City public childcare facilities in April

Shizuoka City has participated in the trial projects for the Universal Childcare System for fiscal years 2024 and 2025, implementing the system in select public childcare facilities. During this process, the burden of cash collection at facilities was identified as a challenge, leading to the adoption of the "Daredemo Kessai" system. Furthermore, it has been decided to expand the use of this system to collect fees for temporary childcare and sick/convalescent child care starting in April 2026.

Previously, many public childcare facilities collected fees for temporary childcare in cash, requiring childcare staff to manage the cash. Additionally, as more parents carry less cash, the burden of preparing exact change had become an issue.

With the introduction of "Daredemo Kessai," childcare staff will be freed from handling and managing cash, and parents will be able to pay using various methods—including credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, Diners Club, JCB, American Express) and QR code payments (PayPay, au PAY, etc.)—without the need for membership registration.
