B-Plus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ogawa-machi, Hiki-gun, Saitama Prefecture) has developed a wireless charging system for electric tuk-tuks and is promoting its operation in commercial facilities.
This system is characterized by its ability to charge vehicles contactlessly without connecting cables by parking them in a designated position. By enabling supplementary charging during parking or standby, it reduces the need for repeatedly connecting and disconnecting charging cables, thereby contributing to a reduction in daily charging operations. Electric tuk-tuks are often used in scenarios requiring repeated short stops, such as sightseeing tours, facility transfers, and last-mile transportation.
Conversely, repeatedly connecting and disconnecting charging cables for each operation can lead to increased workload and operational complexity. To address these challenges, B-Plus proposes a wireless charging system that allows for effortless charging during parking and standby times. Since its delivery around May 2025, the system has been continuously operated in commercial facilities for approximately one year, advancing its utilization as a charging infrastructure that makes electric mobility more user-friendly.
This system supports contactless power supply with a transmission distance of 100mm and a maximum of 581W (output 58.1V/10A). Eliminating the need for cable connections not only simplifies charging operations but also reduces the risk of contact wear and poor contact.
Moving forward, B-Plus will continue to leverage its wireless power transfer technology cultivated in the industrial equipment sector to expand its application in the small electric mobility field, including tuk-tuks. By realizing a charging environment that is easy to use in various settings such as tourist destinations, facility transfers, and local transportation, the company aims to contribute to labor savings and improved convenience.
