The "Shirahama Smile Partner" Project, Born from Shirahama Town Shop Owners' Idea: "A Town Full of Nature and Animals" ~Connecting "Park, Town, and Tourists" with the Charm of People and Animals, Making Shirahama "The Most Healing Town on Earth"~

Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture. The pandas that had been loved in this town for many years departed, marking a new turning point for the tourist destination. Amidst this, we were grateful to receive enthusiastic ideas from local shop owners who wished to "revitalize the town once again with the power of Adventure World's unique animals," and a new project has now begun.

Adventure World (Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture) and shops within Shirahama Town will launch a regional co-creation partnership called "Shirahama Smile Partner" from Wednesday, April 1, 2026, connecting the park and the town through the common language of "animals."

【Project Mechanism】 We have prepared two "Smile Experiences" that connect the park and the town. Through "Animal Trivia Cards," natural conversations will arise between shop owners and customers, creating a "cycle of communication" that allows visitors to feel the warmth of Shirahama as a whole town.

Smile at the Shops! After entering Adventure World, head to participating shops in Shirahama Town! ● Show your admission ticket at a shop to receive one "Animal Trivia Card" (from a total of 20 types)! ● Presenting an annual pass may also entitle you to special services from the shop owner.

Smile at the Park! After visiting participating shops in Shirahama Town, head to Adventure World! ● If you receive an "Animal Trivia Card" at a shop and then enter the park, the Ferris wheel ride is free! *The shop owner will choose an animal species that suits you and present it as a card.

Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture, is a rare town where Japan's leading tourism resources are compactly condensed, including beautiful beaches, hot springs, and above all, unique restaurants, souvenir shops, and vibrant shopping streets. There are charming "shops" that cannot be fully described in guidebooks, and wonderfully warm "people." Both the park and the town's shops share a desire to "sincerely recommend" each other. By forming such a network of trust into a "cycle of recommendations," we aim to elevate the entire Shirahama area into one grand experience. Through this project, we aim for guests to get to know Shirahama more deeply and to love it even more.

＜How to Use the "Ocean View Wheel" Ferris Wheel＞ ・Please present your "Animal Trivia Card" to the staff at the Ferris wheel boarding area before riding. *One card allows one person to ride. ・We kindly ask for your cooperation in a brief survey about which shop you received the card from. ・If the Ferris wheel is suspended due to strong winds or other reasons, you may ride another attraction (ride) once for free.
