Minneapolis, MN (April 1, 2026) — Aveda, a pioneer in plant-derived high-performance hair, skin, and body care, continues its commitment to bringing safe water to people worldwide through its 2026 Earth Month partnership with the international non-profit charity:water*[1].

Since launching the Earth Month campaign in 1999, Aveda has worked globally to support access to clean water and protect critical watersheds. This year, Aveda supports Ethiopian communities through the return of its popular 'Light The Way Soy Wax Candle'.

Together with charity:water, Aveda is working to improve access to safe water as well as public health and hygiene habits. The campaign encourages participation through purchasing limited Earth Month products, joining campaigns, practicing water-saving habits, and donating directly to charity:water.

*[1] charity:water is a US-based non-profit operating globally. From March 22 to September 30, 2026 (or while supplies last), the full retail price of this product sold at participating Aveda stores and the official website will be donated to charity:water. Total donations will reach up to $500,000 USD (approx. 75,352,500 JPY based on the exchange rate as of Jan 5, 2026).

**LIGHT THE WAY Limited Edition Candle** In Earth Month 2026, the 'Light The Way Earth Day Soy Wax Candle 2026' makes its return. Featuring Aveda's signature Rosemary Mint aroma—composed of pure flower and plant essences including organic rosemary, peppermint, and spearmint—it brings a refreshing cool to any space. 100% of the sales from every Light The Way candle sold during Earth Month will be donated to charity:water, specifically for clean water projects providing safe drinking water in Ethiopia. Accessible clean water improves community health and frees up time for education and livelihoods.

**Earth Day Soy Wax Candle 2026** Scheduled for limited release on Friday, April 3, 2026 125g, 2,530 JPY (tax included) Available at Aveda's official online shop, Aveda network salons, and specialty retailers.

**NO WASH DAY** To support charity:water's mission of delivering clean water to everyone on Earth, Aveda proposes a 'Hair Wash Day Off' on April 22, Earth Day, as part of the #NoWashDay campaign. Skipping one hair wash is said to save approximately 23 liters*[2] of water. This small action joins a global movement showing solidarity with the approximately 730 million people living without access to clean water.

Aveda salon stylists and creators worldwide will express their support on social media by showcasing styles using products like Shampowder™ Dry Shampoo (not available in Japan) and Scalp Solutions Refreshing Protective Mist. The circle of empathy will expand toward the implementation on April 22.

**AVEDA WALKS FOR WATER** On Sunday, April 26, Aveda calls for participation in 'Aveda Walks for Water.' In many developing countries, people must walk an average of 6km daily to get safe water. Reflecting on this reality, participants are encouraged to join a 6km walk to spread awareness for charity:water and the importance of clean water. Participants will share their walks on social media with #AvedaWalksForWater, showing how individual small actions lead to big changes. *Note: Implementation varies by country/region. This program is not scheduled for Japan.

**Aveda x charity:water** Since starting the partnership with charity:water in 2018, your support has delivered safe water to over 152,000 people in communities across Ethiopia, India, Madagascar, and Nepal—Aveda's key ingredient sourcing regions. All donations collected during Earth Month go entirely to clean water projects. In 2026, the focus is on Ethiopia, with plans to expand support to more sourcing regions in the future.

**Fundraising Activities** Aveda network salons and selected shops in Japan will conduct fundraising. Collected donations will be given to FSC Japan, an international organization promoting forest certification, to support sustainable forest management initiatives.

**About Earth Month** It is said that over 6.3 billion people worldwide still lack access to safe drinking water. Since 1999, Aveda has designated every April as 'Earth Month,' conducting activities worldwide to protect and deliver clean water. To date, Aveda has raised over $72 million through Earth Month for water resource protection and clean water projects.
