Recently, triggered by the Tokyo Stock Exchange's request for "management conscious of capital costs and stock prices," initiatives to improve corporate value among Japanese companies are shifting from a phase of "awareness transformation" to "concrete practice." Furthermore, more multifaceted and advanced management strategies are required for sustainable growth, such as investment in human capital and transformation of business portfolios.
This lecture, which will be held for the third time this academic year, is a program designed to deepen understanding of the latest trends in value-based management, which has been increasing in importance in recent years. It focuses on business value, business portfolios, dialogue with investors, human capital investment management, M&A, and other aspects related to its practical implementation.
Through this lecture, the Company aims to provide an opportunity to deepen practical and up-to-date knowledge on value-based management and contribute to fostering human resources who will lead Japan's future, thereby supporting the enhancement of corporate value for Japanese companies.

Recently, management conscious of capital costs and stock prices has been demanded, but that is only one aspect of value-based management. The essence lies in companies identifying their own value (intrinsic value) and proactively and sustainably making decisions and taking actions to realize it.
