Avant Group Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Group CEO: Tetsuji Morikawa; hereinafter "the Company") will offer a sponsored lecture, "Value-Based Management," during the 2026 spring-summer semester at Hitotsubashi University's (Campus: Kunitachi, Tokyo; President: Satoshi Nakano) Graduate School of Business Administration (Hitotsubashi Business School), for both the MBA program and the Faculty of Commerce.

Recently, prompted by the Tokyo Stock Exchange's request for "management conscious of capital cost and stock price," Japanese companies' efforts to improve corporate value are shifting from a phase of "mindset change" to "concrete practice." Furthermore, more multifaceted and advanced management strategies, such as investment in human capital and business portfolio transformation, are now required for sustainable growth.

This lecture, now in its third year, is a program designed to deepen understanding of the latest trends in practices related to value-based management, a topic of increasing importance in recent years. It focuses on business value, business portfolios, dialogue with investors, human capital management, M&A, and more.

The Company, through this lecture, will provide an opportunity to deepen practical and up-to-date knowledge of value-based management and will support the improvement of corporate value in Japanese companies by being involved in the development of human resources who will lead Japan's future.

A comment from our Group CEO, Tetsuji Morikawa, on the opening of this lecture is as follows.

## Comment from our President and Group CEO, Tetsuji Morikawa

"I believe that corporate management is a specialized activity of creating corporate value. Corporate value is the sum of future results from contributing to society through business activities. Recently, management that is conscious of capital costs and stock prices has been required, but that is only one aspect of value-based management. The essence lies in a company autonomously and sustainably identifying its own value (intrinsic value) and making decisions and taking actions to realize it.

In this lecture, we will learn about management that focuses on value creation by leveraging finance, incorporating practical perspectives. I hope it will be an opportunity for living inspiration not only for those who aspire to the profession of management but also for those who engage with companies through finance."
