[At Home Survey] Rental apartment/flat listing rent trends in major cities nationwide (April 2026)

Real estate information service provider At Home Co., Ltd. has released the rental listing rent trends for residential apartments and flats for April 2026. The average listing rent for apartments exceeded the previous year's level in all area sizes across nine areas: the entire Tokyo metropolitan area (Tokyo's 23 wards, suburban Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, and Chiba prefectures), Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, and Fukuoka. For single-occupancy properties, Tokyo's 23 wards marked 23 consecutive months and Osaka City marked 21 consecutive months of record highs since January 2015. Additionally, apartment properties for couples also saw year-on-year increases across all areas for seven consecutive months.
