Asuka Shinsha Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Naohisa Doi) will publish 'Haru's Menu Diary,' the first book by actress Haru Kuroki, this summer. Pre-orders started on May 30 at bookstores and online retailers nationwide.
Haru Kuroki is well-known in the entertainment industry as a culinary enthusiast. Despite her busy schedule, including her lead role in the drama 'Ginga no Ippyo' (Fuji TV), she prioritizes her meals, stating, 'I try to cook three meals a day as much as possible, whether I have filming or work or not.'
This work is a newly written food essay and recipe collection that documents 'what I made and what I ate' every single day for 365 days. The book captures the reality of Kuroki's dining table, including stories of finding ingredients at supermarkets after late-night shoots, making rice balls at 4 AM before early morning calls, and even making udon or prepping fresh sea cucumbers at midnight.
Furthermore, the book specially features 28 'Kuroki Family Recipes' that she is particularly fond of. All 28 dishes were cooked and photographed by Kuroki herself. From hospitality meals to daily staples, the content allows readers to recreate the flavors of the Kuroki household.
