Kazuhiro Maeda, Head of Business Development at ASTRO GATE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Akiruno, Tokyo; CEO: Daisuke Oide, hereinafter 'ASTRO GATE'), announced his participation as a speaker at the Kii Space HUB Action Workshop 'Regional/Space Business x Business Creation' 3rd session, 'Thinking about "Regional Business Utilizing Space" in Kinan,' held by Wakayama Prefecture on March 19, 2026.

Kii Space HUB is a space community development project launched by Wakayama Prefecture in the fiscal year 2025. Leveraging Spaceport Kii, it aims to revitalize the prefecture's industries through space, foster space talent, and provide opportunities for activity. It serves as a starting point for players from both inside and outside the region to gather, connect, and move toward the next action.

During the event, Maeda gave a lecture to participants on industrial sectors expected to develop around the spaceport and the potential for creating space-related businesses in the region. Diverse companies from within and outside Wakayama Prefecture, spanning both space and non-space industries, gathered, engaging in active discussions about new business ideas.
